Glaze Mixing: 3-Session Course

A practical introduction to mixing and understanding pottery glazes. Over three sessions, participants will learn how to mix a base glaze, explore colourants and opacifiers, and develop confidence reading fired results.

Session 1 (2.5 hrs | practical): Glaze safety, reading recipes, weighing, mixing, sieving and preparing test tiles.

Session 2 (2.5 hrs | practical): Exploring colourants, opacifiers and line blends through small test variations.

Session 3 (1 hr | discussion): Reviewing fired results and understanding glaze behaviour. (Please note this final session is only 1 hour)

Suitable for beginners and developing makers looking to build confidence beyond commercial glazes.
