  • 483 Lygon Street, East Brunswick (up near Albion Street)

Numbers 6 & 1 trams run right by the door and there is ample bike parking. Car parking is available in Lygon St, subject to signs. Dan Murphy's has longer term parking on the corner of Lygon and Albion Streets.

  • At the start of each term, you will be sent a link to a google sheets doc. This is a student managed spread sheet that allows you to remove your name on the date you are away and add your name to a vacant spot. We cannot guarantee a makeup, but we are flexible, and it generally works very well. We encourage you to aim for your regular session as much as possible, (make up classes are for when emergencies or the unexpected happens). Please talk to your teacher if you are expecting to attend a different session so we can do our best to keep track of your pots!

Missed classes cannot be made up beyond the booked term. That is, if you miss a class you can only make up for that class in the term you’re in, it can’t be carried forward as studio access during the break, or a class in the following term.

  • Yes! Studio access sessions are untutored and intended for independent practice.

    Booked Sessions

    $35 for a 3 - hour session

If you stay beyond 3 hours, the session moves to the $50 day rate (up to 6.5 hours total)

    Casual access (outside scheduled times)
$15 per hour, capped at $50 for the day
    (Up to 6.5 hours between 10am – 4:30pm)

Please don’t book more than 1 or 2 weeks in advance.

  • Please bring your own apron and towel, and no open toed shoe .

We suggest you wear clothes you don’t mind getting dirty. Clay washes out very easily and generally won’t stain, although some of the glazes do.

  • We offer firing by the kilo (min 1kg) or booking a whole kiln. General firing temps are 980c bisque and oxidation 1250c glaze (cone 8) and reduction 1260 (cone 9). We are able to cater for other firing ranges when booking a whole kiln. There is approximately a 10 to 14 day turnaround. Call us to book a whole kiln, or drop in with your work.

    Prices are on the website.

  • During term dates (see website)

Monday to Thursday - 10.00 am to 5.30 pm

    Friday - 10.00 am to 5.00 pm

    Saturday - 10.00 am to 4.30 pm

    Sunday - Closed

Out of term, hours can be a little irregular but generally

Monday to Friday - 10.00 am to 3.00 pm

    Saturday - 10.00 am to 1.00 pm

    Sunday - Closed

We are often open beyond these hours but call us on 0461 263 890 before you come to be sure.

  • Please choose your classes carefully. Changes or cancellations will incur fees. By booking, you agree to our [full Terms & Conditions].

    Terms and Conditions of Enrolment

By enrolling in a course, the Student acknowledges that class selection should be made carefully. Changes or cancellations will require administrative processing and will incur fees: more than 21 days prior – $20 cancellation / $10 postponement; 21 to 7 days – $100 cancellation / $50 postponement; less than 7 days – $200 cancellation or postponement (full deposit loss).

Bookings will be transferable to another person prior to course commencement with notice. The Student understands that, as a small business, we keep our fees as low as possible to make the studio accessible to everyone, so late changes and cancellations impact our ability to maintain this. While the School will always do its best to accommodate unexpected circumstances, all requests are subject to approval and the applicable fees.

By enrolling, the Student confirms that they have read, understood, and agreed to these Terms and Conditions, helping us keep our community running smoothly for everyone.

  • Yes. Classes will be open for bookings 3 months in advance. Bookings through website

  • Gift vouchers are available through the website and can be used for full or partial payment of immersive courses and workshops. They are valid for 12 months.

  • All materials and equipment are supplied, this includes clay, glazes, and firing up to 2kg glazed ware, a fee per kilo is charged for all glazed ware over that weight. All students will have their own wheel and ample space for hand building.

Classes cater for all levels and students work at their own speed.

  • Immersive classes require a $150 deposit at the time of booking. If you would like a payment plan of up to 4 payments, with the balance paid in full by the last class of the term, just ask.

  • Clay is completely inert and harmless when wet. It is dust from dry clay that can be harmful. The team at LSP go to a great deal of trouble to keep the dust down, wiping down surfaces and mopping the floors after every class. We also ask that all studio users are mindful of the dust issues, by picking up small pieces of clay that may fall from your work during the making process and wiping down the surfaces you use. A clean studio is a safer one.

When glazing your work, we ask that you avoid eating or drinking. Some people may experience drying skin when using the glazes but we supply plastic gloves if you would like to use them.

And remember if you see something that concerns you, please let one of the LSP team know.

  • Yes we do!

$300 for 2 people for 2 hours ($80 per extra person)

If you have more than 20 people we can offer a discount please get in touch!
