  • At the start of each term, you will be sent a link to a google sheets doc. This is a student managed spread sheet that allows you to remove your name on the dates you are away and add your name to a vacant spot. We cannot guarantee a makeup, but we are flexible, and it generally works very well. We encourage you to aim for your regular session as much as possible. Please talk to your teacher if you are expecting to attend a different session so we can do our best to keep track of your pots!

  • Casual studio access is available to all currently enrolled “immersive” students (of the 8 week course) at a substantially reduced rate ($10 reduced from $35 and includes clay). Anyone who has done some time with us or has received an introductory session from one of the L.S.P. staff can also access the studio on a casual basis. Rates are on the website.

  • Please bring your own apron and towel, and no open toed shoe .

We suggest you wear clothes you don’t mind getting dirty. Clay washes out very easily and generally won’t stain, although some of the glazes do.

  •  We offer firing by the kilo (min 1kg) or booking a whole kiln. General firing temps are 980c bisque and 1240c glaze (cone 7) and occasionally 1260 ? (cone 9). We are able to cater for other firing ranges when booking whole kiln. There is approximately a 10 to14 day turnaround.  Call us to book a whole kiln, or drop in with your work.

    Prices are on the website.

  • Immersive classes require a $150 deposit at the time of booking.  If you would like a payment plan of up to 4 payments, with the balance paid in full by the last class of the term, just ask.

  • Clay is completely inert and harmless when wet.  It is dust from dry clay that can be harmful. The team at LSP go to a great deal of trouble to keep the dust down, wiping down surfaces and mopping the floors after every class. We also ask that all studio users are mindful of the dust issues, by picking up small pieces of clay that may fall from your work during the making process and wiping down the surfaces you use. A clean studio is a safer one.

When glazing your work, we ask that you avoid eating or drinking. Some people may experience drying skin when using the glazes but we supply plastic gloves if you would like to use them.

And remember if you see something that concerns you, please let one of the LSP team know.
