Gordon Hickmott

Gordon has been making pottery since 1975 studying Ceramics under Harry Memmott at Prahran College where he graduated in 1980 and set up a small kiln in Elsternwick.

At the time Gordon also worked at RMIT, within the department of Architecture and with the Arts Train (CAE) which toured rural communities in north-western Victoria, providing opportunities for people to engage in crafts and arts.

Gordon owns and operates another ceramics studio—Brixton Street Pottery—in Flemington.

Brigid Sundborn

STUDIO FOUNDER & TEACHER

Brigid became hooked on clay 12 years ago. After working as an assistant teacher at Brixton Street Pottery Brigid went on to open her own studio, Brunswick Clay Collective, which amassed a loyal and dedicated following in Brunswick.

Brigid’s functional work—Sundborn Ceramics—is informed by a quiet aesthetic with Scandinavian and Japanese influences.

Brigid loves seeing her students find joy in clay and creates a warm and welcoming space for people to learn at their own pace.
